Monthly versus Bi-weekly income
A very common issue is that the calendar is based on 12 months while companies pay people daily, weekly, bi-weekly (26 paychecks/year) or bi-monthly (24 paychecks/year). The daily, bi-monthly or monthly versions work really well with a monthly system.
Working with budget programs there are always a few wrinkles in them based on such items as insurance which can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually and the opposite problem is paying monthly bills when getting paid ever second week. Everyone seems to get stuck with a couple of problems. There are no budgets that work simply for everyone. The catch is to try to create a method that is consistent so it can be understood from month to month.
While YBP is based on a monthly system, it uses a fairly straight-forward conversion system to convert to bi-weekly paychecks. It is actually very easy, but it relies on people not touching their funds right when they come in. You will use the funds on the id0month and month end.
